Friday workout. 5 x 1 mile LT repeats. 3.10 mile warm up to the golf course. Then 5 x 1 mile at LT pace w/ 2 minute recovery jogs. Was planning planning on HMP, but I got my legs moving and felt good despite some 20ish MPH winds, and at this point I have no idea what my HMP is. Solid effort either way. Splits were 6:21.8, 6:19.2, 6:18.6, 6:16.7, 6:14.8, averaged 6:18.2 Then 2.76 mile cool down home.

Very pleased with this one.

Really good work there. Lots of options for LT, and that seems like a good one since it lets you get more mileage than a steady tempo. That could very well be HMP for you - it'll be exciting to see what you can do in races this spring.

Thanks, Joe. I was pleased with the results even though it felt too fast at first.

I find LT tempos hard to focus on, but I think I would get more out of my training if I worked on relaxing and not worrying about the exact pace, so I have some scheduled (starting with 4 miles and working to as much as 6.25), but I've found in my last two or three halfs a tough interval session sets you up pretty well in terms of predicting pace.

Another good workout Jason. It's starting to come together nicely...
