North Side - 4 miles, averaged 8:39. A few pickups around race pace, some strides, capped with a school-to-school @ 4:53 pace.

PM: Walked about 3-4 miles between picking up my packet and doing groceries, including some shopping cart hill sprints. Yep, today was the day I did what I vowed never to do: I brought the cart home with me. Time to get the car fixed. Legs should be fully fatigued in the morning.

The cooler air has shifted back in temporarily. Coolest temp for this race in three years. Last year and the year before it was in the lower to mid 70s with highish humidity (not terrible by any means, but not perfect). I'm racing my training partner, Brandon, so I know there will be someone to challenge me. But you never know who else will show up.

Awesome timing with the cooler weather! This is quite an improvement from the last few years. Should be fun for you to have some good competition, too.
