Ran with Caleb Scoville tonight and we did the double bonneville. The first 2 miles were a good warmup and then the next 3 miles were at marathon effort. 6:21, and 6:41 then we started the climb and I tried to keep the pace. Wasn't able to keep the pace but I kept the effort. Managed to squeak a 9:11. Got to the top of the climb and caught my breath and continued on. Took it easy for the next mile then did 2 more at Marathon effort. Kept those under 7 min with the gradual uphill. Took things easy the rest of the way in. Very happy with the run and the outcome. Felt good at the end of the run. Trail running is speed training in disguise. I love it. |
