| good speedwork today, got out for a mile warmup then hit a 6 mile tempo: 6:02, 5:57, 6:02, 6:00, 5:55, 6:03 (uphill for most of it), total 36:00 for 6 miles on the nose, 6:00 pace. Had 5 miles in 29:56 and 4 miles in 23:54 at miles 1-5. Very even splits - all within 8 seconds of each other, very solid day and I am extremely happy with the results. good speed with heavy shoes after a week of high mileage on a training run

| Really good long run today, beautiful weather, upper 50s for the whole thing and light winds. Slowest mile was 7:02, fastest was 6:46, average pace for the run was 6:56, 18.1 in 2:05:24 total, one of the fastest long training runs I've ever done. Took 2 gu's but was feeling it at the end, probably a combo of the pace and the mileage over the last 3 days, 27.1 in the last 2 days, 36.6 in the last 3, ice bath afterwards
