El, ad, and I ran earlier at 5! We did the Foremaster loop. Felt super great for 30 min but then I kept feeling that familiar ache on the side of my left foot. I didn't go as quick on the fartlecks (1,2,1,2,1) and finished a bit slower as the pain worsened:/ it hurt really bad, so after hanging posters I iced on and off for about 40 min. It helped for a little but it started hurting again soon. (60 min total) Took afternoon run off and talked to the physical therapist. She advised replacing some running time with cross training that wouldn't put stress on my foot, like biking or swimming. Also more icing and stretching! |
