AM - 5 WarmSprings down to Telegraph and Cottonmill. Hip hurt during the last night, and there was still some pain this morning. But once I got going, it actually helped loosen things up a little. Went on a different route this morning and it treated me well. I actually wanted to just keep going this morning and get a good 12 in, but I had to get to school to do grades. (Cumulus red 421.45)

evening - 12.55 GreenValley into Santa Clara with Logan.  This is why I love running!  And it couldn't have come at a more perfect time.  Started with Club and enjoyed a few miles together; then Logan and I picked it up a little and got some good miles at a solid pace - 6:50 for the whole run.  (Precision 180)

Rain dancer Dave! I am impressed with you dedication. It is all going to pay off soon!

Coach, you are cranking out those 17 mile days. It really takes effort to get out the door this time of year. Hip pain, IT band type or what? Dixie cup icing, good stretching?

I think it might be IT band related. I've never had IT problems before, but in the last few weeks, there have been a few pains showing signs and just kind of lingering.

Dave, Great run last night. I am always amazed how you can just drop the pedal and go when you want. With all your training, i can't wait to see how this upcoming year goes for you. Thanks for keeping us all inspired! After my knee surgery last year, my IT Band was really tight and caused some knee cap problems. I started having Steve Starley give me a deep tissue massage every two weeks. After the first two treatments i could not believe the results. I still have him come twice a month to keep things in shape. You may want to give him a try, it sure did wonders for me. Keep up the good work and have a Merry Christmas.
