AM - 12.15 PVMS, Hospital, and Arctic Circle. Sleep-running is no fun. Warmed up with the 2.5 to PVMS and then tried to hit tempo for 6 miles of the hospital. But they were slow and I struggled because of fatigue and just plain tiredness. I did feel like I was working hard, however. Then finished with the 3 mile Arctic run. (Paramount 50.15)

evening - 6 Treadmill.  1 mile warmup and then 5 at an easy 7:30.  Had the metronome ticking at 84 beats/minute.  This is my usual rate when going at 6:30 or so pace (hit it on the way down the course on Monday), but I don't hit it at a slower pace.  So I worked on hitting it pretty good for most of the run.  (cumulus 461.3)

How do you like your Paramounts? I run in Saucony's and was curious about this new shoe and its comfort and durability/wear with the "pods" construction on the heel.

They are pretty good. Of course the wear is minimal now, with only a few runs on them - so we will see. That is how I always judge a shoe - how it feels from 200 miles on. I would never pay the big bucks for them though. I don't feel anything in them that makes them stand out from any other shoe that I like. But this is my first pair of Saucony, and I might try another pair because I do like the feel of them.

Hey- could you ask Ally if she will help me with the STGM party thing we are doing the day before? Kendra has the expo that day so she won't be able to help out and I keep meaning to call Ally and keep forgetting.

Guess who came in to my office this morning? Tia! She has been running quite a bit I guess (she looks really good) and might start running with me every so often.

Dave,

I found out a week before school started that the Girls Coach had left Bear River. I am student teaching with the head coach,(which I didn't know at the time), and gave him a call. He was pretty pumped to have someone that knew what they were doing and could push the faster kids. I don't think that the other people applying for the job were too happy that a student teacher beat them out though. He did some juggling around, gave the girls to the other assistant, and he took the JV boys. I am excited because it will be fun to help build a program, plus coaching at two different High Schools will be good on the resume.
