11 miles at red cloud loop(about 10000 ft elevation). 3.5 miles on the top of the plateau, a little over 3.5 going down the mountain, and the same coming back up. Pace was 8:38. I'd feel bad, but 1.) it was an easy day 2.) I ran up a mountain and 3.) my pace down the mountain was 7:48. Strides and core afterwards.

Mile warm-up, 8.5 easy miles at 7:25 pace, and strides afterwards. Aaron got in a bike wreck and hurt himself, so he's out until camp. By the first mile I had a 200m lead on the rest of the varsity boys, and I wasn't even going aaron and I's normal distance pace. I got bathroom cramps halfway in, but it didn't phase me too much. Strides after. During the strides coach Hill and Henderson came to talk to me. They asked me about my run and how I felt and such, and then they basically told me I should run for college(they both ran Division I back in their day). I said I'd like to and they encouraged me to pursue it. Coach Henderson ran for USU, and he said the consistent 5:21-5:23's I was hitting last week during repeats were his usual repeat times in high school. They also had a talk with me about how I need to keep my body strong and not get sick and have a bad region race like junior year.

Mile warmup, then since today's my easy day I ran 3.5 with the varsity girls #slay. Strides afterwards. Core before practice

Mile warm-up, then 40 minutes of 4 minute sets of fartlek running on the beach. Aaron was at practice today, so he, Kedric, Jordan, and I were in the front pack. I wasn't feeling the greatest, but still managed to lead the pack by a few strides. Aaron trailed pretty close behind me, but Jordan and Kedric fell back pretty quickly. 1.5 mile cooldown once we got back to the park on my own, followed by strides. S/O to Aaron, Jacia, and Kyrie for playing some fire beats on my aux on the drive to the beach and back.

Another 7 miles that evening at an easy pace. My core hurt during it. Strides after

4 easy miles in the morning at team practice. It would have been more, but I overslept and showed up late to practice and had to catch up to Aaron and Christian. Core and strides after

8 more that evening. My Achilles felt some discomfort during it. Strides after. More Core that night.

Mile warmup, then a 6.5 mile run. We actually had a few people today. The varsity pack was Christian, Aaron, Jordan, Kedric, Mason, Austin, and I. The first 4.5 miles were easier, at about a 7:20 pace. We were all having some pretty good conversations, so it was by no means difficult. When we reached the canal at 4.5 we did what was natural and sped up, except Austin who had to take a shortcut back to the park to go to a meeting. Aaron and Christian got caught at a stop light, so it was just Mason, Kedric, Jordan, and I. Mason started to run on the path parallel to the road, so it was just the three of us. I decided to speed up a bit, and Kedric followed for about 10 seconds and died off. I kept speeding up while keeping a maintainable, stable, moderate pace. I finished my last two miles in paces between 5:48 and 5:57. I later found out Aaron, after pacing with Christian for a bit, blew past and got close-ish to me, until dying out and pacing with Mason(his own words). Mason didn't go to slow either, I think they both averaged a low 6 for the last couple miles. I felt like I could keep the pace for longer, but stopped at 6.5. 800m cool down, followed by stretches and strides.

4 more that evening

2.5 in the morning. No strides, I'm leaving for park city to buy a bed so I didn't have time for anything too major

9 miles on the trails that evening with aaron. I let him lead because it was an easier day for me but he sounded like he was going hard. Probably dehydrated from the desert heat. I blew ahead in the last mile because I wanted to get to my water bottle at the coral we were parked at.

Also shoutout to me for getting the 7th highest mileage on the blog this week with 83 miles!! Hard work pays.
