Short-Term Running Goals: -Find some good local races to run that will motivate me to stay in shape. Long-Term Running Goals: -Run a few fast marathons. Grandma's, St. George, and Boston are on my target list.
-Stay fit for a very long time. I believe what goes into making a competitive runner at age 60 is much different than age 20, just like what goes into making a good marathoner differs from a good sprinter. I hope that by taking care of my body, I can be very fast for my age as I get older.
Personal: I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in the Twin Cities with my family and am an Epidemiology PhD Student. Running is the only hobby I have time for :) |

| | 6:47 pace, east river flats. It was cool out but the air was clean which made running enjoyable.
Update: I think this was on east river road. I'm not sure how I calculated that pace or messed that up but it is what it is.

| | Once again, I had planned to not work out today, but was proud of myself for doing so upon seeing that the ground was mostly wet, not icy, and that the wind tomorrow morning would be just as bad. It actually turned out that the wind was relatively mild. I was also proud of myself for sticking with exactly 1 minute of rest between each rep, despite difficulties. I ran 6 by k in 3:03, 3:04, 3:04, 3:03, 3:04, 3:01. Like I said, the wind wasn't too bad but it was very wet and slippery.

| | 6:51 pace, Como classic partially rain route. I could be wrong about that. Felt very groggy to start out with.

| | 6:47 pace, Boom island. I saw a much bigger flock of runners than I am used to seeing on a Friday morning.

| | 6:05 pace, East river. I did another 54321 workout on the way back. Wind was 10-15 mph blowing south so that made the way back a lot slower, I averaged 5:58s on the way out. Knee hurt again.
