So this turned out to be a decent race for me. Going into the race I was pretty concerned I've been struggling with bronchitis for the last 4 weeks and I haven't been training much. I think I had only done two runs over 12 miles the entire year, so I didn't know what to expect. My goal was to take it easy and enjoy the race and hope to break 1:40. Well, I was able to accomplish all three. I felt like I was in control the entire race, actually felt more like a training run which is where my current fitness level is right now. I enjoyed the course,even though I struggled between miles 10-12. I was especially happy I broke 1:40, now the next goal is to break 1:30 again for a half.
