Meet up with Logan, Clyde, Dave, Mike, and Bill for a nice tempo run this morning from Clyde's house.  Did a 3 mile warm-up, even though it was already 82 degrees out.  Then got into the tempo.  Everyone was planning on doing 6 miles of tempo, but I kind of felt for me that might be a bit much, so I just decided to start with everyone, then see how things were going after each mile.

1-6:00- feeling good

2-5:57- still feeling good

3-6:18- starting to struggle, begin thinking about only doing 5 miles of tempo

4-6:27- decide that 4 miles is where I'll stop today.

24:46 (6:11 average) Not bad, I think I can work up to maintaining this pace for the 6 miles or more depending where we run.

I then spent the next 4 miles trying to find my way back to the others.  I took a few wrong turns up in Bloomington Hills, but I think I understand the course better now and look forward to next week.  I'm pretty sure I'll be able to add another mile or two of tempo next week.

Good job this morning Dustin. That first real tempo of the season is the worst. It will feel better every week.

Nice job Dustin - hope you got a nap in today after having to get up so early to make it over!

You guys want to do Chelsi's Run on Thursday night (maybe after club?) $10 if we turn in our entry for tomorrow at the Pizza Factory in St. George.

Dustin you were looking like a machine! Mike and I also got lost but we found our way. I still not clear of the course because the circle of trust came back a different way.
