Longest run I've done since before the St. George Marathon last fall. Steve, Bill, Ken and Sasha did a loop out on Snow Canyon Parkway, through Ivins and Kayenta, then back on the highway through Santa Clara. I was a little concerned in the beginning as Bill kept pushing the pace. I was really hoping for a slower, easier pace but I managed to stay with the group for most of the run. I did the first 16 1:54:13 for a 7:08 average. The last two miles I took it really easy, as I was beginning to cramp up a little bit. I think my body was wondering what was going on, since I hadn't run that far in quite some time.

Last two miles up Sunset very slow and easy.

Overall pretty pleased I made myself come over and run with the club and I forced myself to go as far as I did.

I only need 2 more miles today for me to meet my goal of 60 for the week. Which I'm feeling good about considering where my training has been the last few weeks with the calf injury.

Cumulus-27 Really liking these shoes so far

Went out and did another easy 2 miles (bridge and back), legs and hips pretty sore from the run this morning.

Impressive week after taking some time off. Are you running the Hurricane Half?

From Dustin on Sat, Apr 26, 2008 at 20:44:31

I'm signed up for the Half don't know how it will go. Just trying to come back from an injury.

good job "easing" back in to running. 60 miles this week!!!! if you can run 18 and then still go after 2 more just to hit a nice round even number then you should be ready to roll next week at the half. i have felt like i have been full throttle with my running lately at 40 miles a week. you'll do fine.

Great Run Today! I think starting to run these 20's now and throughout the summer will only help our marathon. Good job with the week!

Great job Dustin! Good to see you hitting some long runs again.
