I was going to do a track workout today, but ran over to Hurricane High School and found Cross Creek working out on the track, so I decided to put my track workout off until tomorrow, which might be fine.  I'll run hard tomorrow, then get ready for the 10K race on Saturday.  Anyway, after 3 miles over to the high school I was able to flag down my father in-law and had him drive me out to the Brentwood Bowling Alley and I ran 8 miles back into Hurricane over the 600 North Trail.  The last two miles I decided to do a tempo, actually a little faster than tempo pace from the substation to my house.

1-5:58 Good mile with some downhill

2-5:51 I thought this mile would be quite a bit slower than the first, since it didn't have as much downhill.  Anyway, it turned out to be faster and I felt really good.  I was especially happy, since I had already ran 9 miles and I was feeling a little tired.
