Nearly lovely out this evening after massive thunderstorm.  A billion percent humidity, but only about 75 degrees and a bit of a breeze.  Ran my hilly 5-miler in the neighborhood and kept all miles under 8 min pace without much difficulty - gettin there.  Will see how the 5K training goes tomorrow evening on the trails with the running club.

Is tomorrow training, or a 5k race? Good luck to you if it is.

The weekly run is intended as a warmup for the race that will be held on the course on Aug 25th. Most people will race the 8K on the 25th, but they have only cleared the 5K course at this point... mostly the same except for a fairly flat section on first lap that is added for the 8K. That section is runnable, but quite overgrown right now. Matt Mizereck, rising UF senior runner, went 15:48 last week - Trav says hes gonna take him down! I will be quite impressed if he breaks 17 this early on this course.
