| | Wow - my profile is still here...
Three easy miles with 4x120m striders in the middle. Less than a month until local Senior Games track meet. Plan on running the 400 and 800 to qualify for the State games in December. Should make it no problem with a 75 in the 400 and sub 3 in 800. Will be in much better shape by December to hopefully go sub 65 and sub 2:35 to qualify for next summer's National Games in Albuquerque. We'll see.

| | 1.5 warmup then 4x120 at goal 400m pace ish - 1.5 back to the house. Bit of stretching, pushups, planks, squats

| | Three miles on the trails with the middle mile consisting of 4x1minute at goal 800 pace with full recovery walk - quite challenging at this point in my one month training schedule... feeling not at all like a runner physically, but loving life back out there

| | Mile warmup to my neighborhood half mile workout loop - 4x120 at 400 goal pace - 1.5 back to the house.

| | Mile warmup, 4x1 min on and 2 min off - goal 800 meter pace (~6 flat mile pace) - mile cooldown back to hous. Finally unboxed my christmas present Forerunner 35 - functional interval feature, but I need to learn how to show pace during workout, if possible. Reviewing the activity online shows me all over the place from 5:35 to 6:15 on the intervals.

| | "Long" intervals in the neighborhood - already feeling considerably better but not quite like a runner yet.

| | First track workout in 3 years, and it felt that way. Wasn't much of a workout - just wanted to get a couple sessions in before March 3 track meet. Warmup, 200 m at 37, 400 m at 1:32, 200 m at 39 - the 400 and the second 200 were a touch slower than goal, but all things considered I was more pleased than expected. Will do the same little workout next Sunday and then hope for the best on the 3rd... I think the 400 in 75 will be cake, but the 800 in sub 3 minutes may be a challenge.

| | Long intervals in the neighborhood - warmup, 4x1:30 at goal 800 pace, cooldown - Garmin reports that each interval was 6:10-6:20 pace - gonna have to do better than that

| | Couple easy miles in the hood - sore right quad for a couple days now so took it easy - have had hamstring issues many times but cant recall straining the upper outer quad - ah well

| | Warmup, 1 of planned 4x160m - right quad was fine until stressing it a bit on the first "sprint" - ah well maybe take it easy through the weekend and just plan on jogging the 400 and 800 next weekend

| | Mostly just easy running, but did throw in 4 easy striders with minimal tightness on the quad. Did a bunch of walking over the weekend but no running.
