| I am starting my taper for the half marathon on the 27th of July. total time 66:10. hot and humid and plan was easy run. splits 9:41, 9:24, 9:25, 9:25, 9:31, 9:23, 9:20.

| tapering distance but decided to go hard after 0.5 mile warm-up. total time 33:30. splits 8:51, 8:17, 8:11, 8:10. average HR 128. I am very pleased with this. It was 85 degrees outside with 35% humidity.

| taper continues... total time 90:02. Plan was about 9:20 for first miles then between 9:00 and 9:20 for miles 2 through 6 then try to speed it up. Temp at start of run was 83 degrees with 31% humidity- one of the "cooler" mornings we have had in the last 2 weeks. splits 9:25, 9:06, 9:05, 9:07, 9:10, 9:05, 9:01, 8:45, 8;40, 8:38. average HR 123... max HR 138 (only 14:44 minutes with HR >130)
