Last week Sasha had given me some training advice. I thought that I would give it a try. He suggested that I needed more long runs starting out slower (8:00) and then in the last 5 or so faster (7:00) or below. Well.... after yesterday off, I felt fresh and headed out into the rain. My legs were feeling great and the rain and new running route into Concord, MA were keeping things fun and interesting. Long story short, I went out too fast and tried to reel it in during the second mile but then ended up speeding it up again. All in all........ very enjoyable.
