LM warmup, 8.08 miles in 1:04:06, 7:56/mi, HR 153, 10 x 12 sec Hill Sprints & stretching. Mostly cloudy (62F). Substantial improvement over yesterday. The left hip tightness was significantly reduced, as was the muscular fatigue and improper muscular contractions. By about 3 miles, the residual was nearly gone completely. Even managed to keep the pace under 9 minute miles. My turnover is still high (188 steps/min) so I focused on reducing that a tad and taking longer strides. I even managed to get back to a semi-normal pace on the return and snuck below an 8 min/mi average. Gotta give DLTheo a shout out. Dunno if it was his suggestion of incorporating the Myrtl routine, or the addition of Hill Sprints, or the increased stretching, or the hip exercises with weights I've added, but whatever it is seems to have me on the path to recovery.
