Just went slow and easy for a couple of miles se how my hamstring would react it was kind of disapointing. At mile two I stopped to do some light strecthing and began my run again and I could not run, my hamstring hurt way bad. So I just turned on my tunes and walked home two miles. Tomorrow I will back out of SGM. I will cross train with my eliptical get my leg better and train for Ogden in the spring.

Today we took the Mt. Bike for a ride was gone for an hour or so. I did not take my Garmin with so I don't know how many miles but we did do lots of hills, it felt good to get in a decent  workout. My hamstring did not hurt on the bike so while the weather stays good I will cross train with my bike, eliptical, and some weight's. Hopefully this will keep me in shape for when I start back out on the road running. Oh, and I cancelled my SGM today, we will get a guaranteed entry for next year, look out Ogden here we come.

Today I finally felt like I got in a good workout. I started off with 40 min. on the eliptical doing four 5 min workouts in the performance range around 100 rpm's and the rest in the endurance range. Then I did 20 min. of upper and lower body weight training, and then went for a bike ride for 55 min. which ended up at about 14 miles, it ended up being a couple of hours of training. It felt good to get in a good hard workout. My hamstring dose'nt bother me on the bike or the eliptical. I will stick with these three until I feel that my leg can handle running again. I will give it about a month and see how things feel. My goal is to loose 10 pounds by the end of the year, come back running lighter, stronger, and faster.

Todays workout was a recovery after yesterdays grind. I start with the eliptical 40 min worth alternating every lap from the endurance level up to the performance level. Then it was time to strap on the MT. Bike and do another ride. lots of uphill pretty much felt a burn in both legs during the bike woekout. Did 11.5 miles in about 48 min. Needless to say my legs are feeling a little wack today. I think the bike is good it works different muscels which will help me when I get back to my running workout. That;s about the size of it. My hamstring is still alittle on the sore side. I whish this would begin to get better.

Another day on the fun eliptical, alternating every other lapin the performance range, and the endurance range. Just did a 30 min workout today, then we did 25 min of upper and lower body strength training. My hamstring is still a bother don't know what to do or how long togive it to heal. So we will do our best to keep plugging along.  That's about it for this old dog.
