Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to keep running ultras into my 60s.

Personal:

Details at: http://www.crockettclan.org/ultras/ultracrockett.pdf Married with six kids and six grandchildren.  Started running at the age of 46 in 2004.  My first race since Junior High days was a 50K. I skipped the shorter road stuff and went straight to ultramarathons.  I started as a back-of-the packer, but have progressed to a top-10-percent ultra finisher.  Wish I would have started running at a much earlier age.  Have had several articles published in national running magazines.  Check out my running adventure blog at www.crockettclan.org/blog

It has been many years since I've been on this blog.  I might try it again to record daily training. In 2016 I ran 4,742 miles, most ever for me in a calendar year.  I also finished 12 100-miler, also most in a year.

50K at the Olympic Oval in 4:47.  Training for Rocky Racoon 100 in two weeks.  Feel ready.  It has been five years since I ran there.  In 2012, I ran it but finished with a massive stress fracture in my tibia and couldn't run for six months.  In 2013, I tried to return, but the leg started bothering me and I decided to not run, good decision.  But since that race in 2012, I've finished 36 more 100-milers and despite my advance age of 58, I'm good to go and still pretty fast.  I hope for my 87th career 100-mile finish, and my 6th at Rocky.

4 miles in the evening

Wow... welcome back Davey. Looks like (at least for running) things have been going well.

Yep, life is good. Six grandkids now, all live close. Empty nest, plenty of time to run. Past two years injury free.
