Ankle ok at best. Kept the run short don't want to stress it too much. Iced and heated yesterday. Stayed off ibuprofen. After run a little tender now in a brace and will ice a couple times tonight. Might try a little longer run tomorrow AM and spin at lunch.

I've went back to spinning in order to give my ankle a break. Yesterday it felt ok, last night it hurt bad, today it is feeling ok and I haven't taken any ibuprofen. I just want this to go away and I'm having the hardest time resting it but I also feel like I'm going through a burnout phase so this rest might be happening at the right time.

Felt like I needed to get in some type of a quality speed workout today. So I warmed up a mile then went 1 M at MP then 3 at HMP then 4 at MP then a short cool down. 9/56:56/6:20. Would have liked to have done more at HMP but I am feeling the effects of not running much the last couple of weeks. Is seems like my endurance has gone into the tank. Heart rate was much higher than normal at these paces.

Talked with my wife about the whole burnout issue and she talked a little sense into me telling me nothing is fun when you're hurt...makes sense, I guess she is always right.

Ankle feeling a bit better, no ibuprofen yesterday, a little before the run today. It doesn't hurt so much to walk on but is very sensitive to touch (very painful) I can put any pressure on it without a ton of pain. Walking and run, not much pain.

Today's work got aborted. The plan was to spin 30 minutes then run 30 minutes. I barely had enough motivation to last the bike. Hit the TM only to last one mile. Ankle hurt some but what's new? I've ran through that before. Just didn't have it today. This is a day I wish I could go climb back into to bed and sleep 12 hours or so, wake up eat and go take a nap and somewhere in-between find motivation.

At least work has been good today. I usually run to take my mind off of work and today I'm enjoying work and hoping to forget about the workout.

AM - easy run with Nikki. It's been a while since I've ran with my wife, ankle and all. It was really good to get out and here the coyotes this morning.  ankle = better than usual, we'll see what this afternoon brings.

Woke up to high winds, so I went to the gym. It was kind of nice because I slept in, took my time getting ready, ate breakfast and slowly found my way to the gym. Good, bad or ugly I preloaded with ibuprofen to make it through my run. Ankle felt surprisingly good and I got through the run without much pain. Slight twinge around 12 or 13.

First 13 or so at slow MP then kicked it up to goal pace to finish off. Didn't have much left at the end, no surprise my fitness has taken a dive the last couple of weeks . 16/1:45:56/6:37
