This was my second time running this race. We head down to Utah to the in-laws every other year. There are a few turkey trots going on in the Salt Lake area, but this one has the best shirts (although this year's shirt had an ugly red U on the mountain. They will regret that choice on Saturday). I ran a pretty good race. I wasn't able to keep track of my pace because the battery on my Garmin was dead, but I kept it at a rigorously comfortable pace for the first two miles. It is a pretty hilly race, with a nice downhill at the end. I had enough left in the tank to pick up the pace for the last quarter mile or so and finished almost a minute faster than I ran it two years ago.
