Half mile warmup, Wahsatch Steeplechase Course (16.3 miles), half mile cooldown. Didn't eat beforehand, and managed to bonk only a bit over an hour into the run, which made it pretty miserable. I was planning to time trial it, but managed to get into "just complete" mode before I even got to the peak, so it was exceedingly slow to complete the course (2:46), with a lot of time lost in the last half mile of climb, the crag section, and the descent down Smuggler's Gap. Once I hit the road, I fumbled 6:20 pace on the nice downhill and then ran low 7s down the trail portion. Not my best day, but at least I didn't end up hammering my legs as badly as I could have. I'd like to run this course again at some point when I'm feeling better, as I think I could run somewhere close to 2:25 on a good day.
