| | I ran down a mile and 1/4 before our PVTs took a 2 mile PT test. I ran the first mile in about 6:40 and then slowed down and pretty ran back with the slowest of the group. Our slowest guy finished at like an 18:10-ish...ugghh! Then I ran back. Felt really good today while running.
After my runs are over I get this sore feeling in my left leg, about knee high. Not in the knee itself, but on the inner part of my leg, knee high. I thin, it may be some kind of hamstring or tendonitis, just by feel, but I can't tell exactly. Anybody with any ideas?

| | Good treadmill run. My leg was bugging me slightly during the run. Afterwards I tried to stretch it out and it was excruciating. Hamstring stretching was so hard! Stretching my hamstrings, both standing and sitting, hurt that tendon or whatever on the inside part of my left leg, knee high. After doing that a minute, I thought I felt something move or just hit a pain threshold, and then it started to disapate. The rest of the night it felt pretty good. I don't know what that was, but things are feeling better!
I'll probabaly keep it easy for the rest of this week, between 3.1 and 4.0 miles at a moderate pace.

| | GPS went out on me after .39 so I am just estimating here. I wanted to tone it down a little because of my leg so I ran about 3.4 today probably at an 8:15-ish pace. I just wanted to stay relaxed and not strain that tendon, or whatever it is.
I averaged a 157 BPM which is starting to come down, but I really need to be increasing my distance in order to really get my heart rate down. All in good time. I don't have a race or anything I am preparing for right now, so slow and steady without injury is my goal!

| | Was feeling sicker than a dog last week, plus my little leg injury so I took some time off. Got out today and felt okay, although ran faster than usually. My leg is still feeling it a bit, hopefully a few more days of light running will do it.
7:41 8:00 8:38 8:18 = 8:11 at 167BPM
Occassionally we have to stop the formation and let the stragglers catch up. Sometimes I remember to stop my watch, and sometimes I forget so we are usually running faster than what these times show. The route we take is pretty hilly as well which is nice. I like the soldiers training on hills and then running their PT test on a flatter surface.

| | Interesting run today. So my Infantry Battalion actually falls under a Armored Brigade, and today we did the Armor School run. So that comes out to two Brigades full of Drill Sergeants, some trainees, Armore LTs, some Marines, and just fat tankers!
It was 27 degrees (yes it can get that cold in Georgia) and the Armor Comandant decided we should run in shorts...
10:58 9:20 10:30 10:00 = 10:13 AP at 161 BPM
I think my heartrate was higher today due to the extreme cold weather. Not exactly sure, or my monitor was running a little high today. Maybe someone else knows?
So I have been battling some tendonitis in the back of the leg/knee. I had to take a few days off to try and get this thing figured out. I am feeling okay, so I think I will run again tomorrow morning.

| | Good run, took it slow and waiting to see how my leg is feeling. Didn't really feel it much today, but we'll see tomorrow!
