I ran down a mile and 1/4 before our PVTs took a 2 mile PT test. I ran the first mile in about 6:40 and then slowed down and pretty ran back with the slowest of the group. Our slowest guy finished at like an 18:10-ish...ugghh! Then I ran back. Felt really good today while running.

After my runs are over I get this sore feeling in my left leg, about knee high. Not in the knee itself, but on the inner part of my leg, knee high. I thin, it may be some kind of hamstring or tendonitis, just by feel, but I can't tell exactly. Anybody with any ideas?

It does sounds like a tendon - probably good news that it doesn't hurt you during the run.

Don't know if I told you this, but my first job after I separated from the AF was at Fort Sill, teaching at the EW schoolhouse (as a contractor). Oh man, did those guys fail some PT tests. They were kicking dudes out left and right for it...mostly NCOs too. Glad you are staying on them!

Joe, I didn't know you were out of the Air Force? When did that happen?

The Army's PT standards are pretty good, but they are not enforced very well.

What are you doing now? EW stuff can be pretty cool. We worked pretty close with an Army EWO my first deployment and had a lot of success. How was that gig?

I got out in March 2012, was at Sill until May 2013, and actually work at USAA now. Clean break from DoD! I liked the EW job a lot, have a lot of experience with it at home and downrange, but I hated being a contractor, if that makes any sense..
