Wanted to do some faster miles so Dan and I raced a 5K against the clock. First mile was a warmup then did a flat 5K course. Afterward, did the course again slow and ran home. I was trying for a 18:30 5K and did pretty good. Times (1/2 mile splits) 2:50, 2:50, 3:20, 3:12, 3:00, 2:58, 0:34 Total Time: 18:42 Ave HR: 183 Max: 191 It felt great to run with some speed again, I figure that it didn't hurt anything to get out and push myself for a short amount of time. |
