I felt lousy today. My body is tired from the mileage increase and the race over the weekend. I had trouble breathing and my joints hurt. I think I will be better tomorrow.
Not only have you increased your mileage but your intensity on every run is pretty high as well. Have you considered running very easy at least 1 day a week? I usually have at least 1 run a week that is only 6 miles at 8:00/mile-8:30/mile (keeping my heart rate around 142). It really helps recharge the batteries.

You have a good point there. I have stepped it up lately. I usually run an easy day of 5 mile or so on fridays. I try and go 8:00+ miles on that day but I get bored and want to go faster. I need to focus more on a hard day, easier day routine.

Cody - if you get bored, run a mile or two really hard - 6:00 pace or faster. This seems to remove boredom very quickly if your body actually needs rest.
