No running on Wed, Thurs and all I have to show for it is a 1/2 mile more of running pain free.  I ran 1.5 miles before the pain set in today.  I stopped to walk at mile 2.  It quickly felt better so I ran again.  Within a half mile it was back.  Stop and walk, better, run bad, walk good.  You get the idea.  Same relative location as before.  I guess I still have some internal issues that present itself during running that don't show up except for an occasional twinge during the day mostly going down stairs.

I had a real heat to heart today with my leg and we came to a truce.  I will no longer subject it to biking and running until I don't feel it twinging during the day and during subsequent testing.  Nothing for a week.  Possibly 2.  Even biking.  I think I will lose my mind after a week, so wish me luck.  I have pretty much written off Logan Peak and Pocatello is now laughable.  Even the 20 mile option I was hoping for at Pocatello is out.  See you in a week or two for an update.

Bummer. You'll be back. Sounds like a good course of action given how long this has been going on. Get better, then get fit again.

By the way, make sure you don't miss the massive iRF giveaways this week...

Hang tough re the no running and cross-training - stay the course! I can certainly empathize... not moving is no easy thing.

Ouch. Maybe time to go find a good chiro to make sure your not out of whack? Seems like you've been nursing this for a while. Hope the total rest helps.

Hang in there man, rest up. (But not for too long, I'd like you to be ready for El Vaquero Loco.)

hang in there Cody. and let us know if we need to sandbag your house or anything in the coming weeks.

That's a bummer about pocatello, and more so Logan peak. I was looking forward to kicking your butt on your home court (by a minute or so). Just kidding, I was really looking forward to running with you out there, and comparing training leading up. Hopefully enough rest now will allow you to be back at it in full force for steamboat. You are smart to back off and let it heal. I've been there before with the IT band, and it wasn't a fast healing process unfortunately. But you'll be back. I don't think yours is as bad as mine was. All I could do for exercise during the entire spring and summer of 2002 was strap a float to my legs and swim with just my arms. I couldn't even kick softly in the pool without pain in the IT. (That's an idea for you though by the way, for staying fit during the down time without further abusing your leg.)

Aaron- you just have to set the CR, now, then you'll have some Logan Peak bragging rights over Cody...
