Decided to sleep in today and run my bigger run later in the day. 3 miles on the treadmill, just so I wouldn't be gone all night out running. I would have to say that 3 miles is the perfect distance. Just long enough to think you did something, but too short to get tired and bored.

PM: Jon met me at my house and we ran the Planet Walk 5 miler.  The trail is somewhat slow as it is covered in lumpy snow in many places.  After a pit stop for Jon, I ran him home then ran home from his house.  I picked it up the last mile as my hands were frozen.  Hit a 6:34 mile accidentally.

Aw come on, isn't 3 miles a little short to call the perfect distance? More like 6M don't you think?

I think your wife would laugh that you can "accidentally" hit a 6:34 mile.

Cody's, going to be hitting several miles under 6 minutes in Marathon's all year. Nice workout today Cody.

Since I'm not from Logan, what exactly is the Planet Walk run course like?

From Cody on Wed, Feb 06, 2008 at 10:08:59

Kory-

The Planet Walk is a "mile" long paved trail that runs along the Logan River. It is basically the only planned green belt in Logan. Basically flat, but very scenic. Way too short though. The 5 miler I refer to is an out and back from my house winding through neighborhoods and the planet walk.

Kory- in case you are wondering, it is called planet walk because they put some plaques on the side of the trail representing each planet and how far they are from the sun (i.e. Mercury is a few feet from the sun, Neptune is at 1600 m). This also prevents confusion since we used to call it the river trail, also the name of the trail up Logan Canyon.
