Progression Run - 8 miles w/ last 20 min. moderate (uphill, if possible)

6:30 am, 54° , 75% humidity, wind 4 NNW, overcast.

It felt colder than usual in my room with the windows open this morning, so I thought that maybe it would be cooler outside today. But it wasn't particularly cool and it was kind of muggy.

When I got up I seriously considered bagging the run and just going to work because I have a lot of work to do right now. But I finally talked myself into running. Still, I didn't have much speed in my legs this morning. I didn't manage to get anything into the fast miles bucket. The plan says to do the last 20 minutes uphill, if possible. The penultimate mile was largely downhill, but the last mile had a lot of uphill. That's why the last mile was slightly slower than the one before it.

All the road kill was gone this morning, but the day laborers were at the garden center again. So there were no new interesting sites.

I'm just glad to be done and have these miles in the bank.

AP: 9:31. Splits: 10:05, 9:58, 9:47, 9:38, 9:36, 9:38, 8:41, 8:43.

If you were creepy, I mean cool, like Burt you would have run over and high-fived the day laborers. Nice miles today.

Way to go sticking with it and not bagging the run, even though you had a lot to do. Who knows, the day laborers may have started to worry about you, if you didn't go by.

The day laborers are sitting in cars when I go past them. The only time I got a good look at one of them was yesterday, when one of them was sitting in the passenger seat with the door open and he was turned leaning out of the car. I did wonder when I went past today if they've noticed that I've been going by every day.

Boy, have I picked the wrong week to have graduation, testing, fees, and company. I can't believe I've missed out on your dead bird, dead fox, garden center day laborer super-sale, and prophylactic rainbow set.

YOU are the treasure hunter this week lady!! And you've been doing a great job getting all those miles in too.

Job well done :-)
