Long run.

7:21 am, 42-56° F, 26% humidity, wind 2 NE.

Jodee drove for a half hour this morning to meet me and my girls at the Highline Canal Trail. We had a good group this morning. Besides myself and Jodee, we had Michelle, Michelle, and Allie. Michelle #2 turned around after 4 miles because she had to get back home to take her kid to a soccer game. Everyone else went the full 14, and Jodee was planning to do one more after we were done. Jodee did great. She's welcome to join our group any time. It was fun meeting her and having her join us.

I really would have liked to quit the last couple of miles but didn't because I felt like I should stick it out with the girls. I actually pushed the pace the last mile because I just wanted to be done. This is the longest Michelle has ever run because prior to this her longest was a half marathon. So the next few weeks which each bring her her longest run ever.

Nice miles! It's always fun to run with a group, and I'm glad they helped you get this monster run done!

Thanks again for letting me tag-a-long, I had a great time! I really like that trail and the conversations made it so much easier to get through a long run! Great job!

Thanks for running with my little sister Jodee. That is one thing I appreciate about the blog, being able to meet up with new people. I'm excited to see how she does at the Utah Valley Marathon. Hope your training continues to go well, Hopefully it is starting to warm up some in Colorado for you guys. I remember how it was growing up when I lived there, seemed like winter went on forever sometimes

You are really getting your miles in Carolyn! Do you have a race you are training for?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Mon, Apr 18, 2011 at 09:42:01 from 71.229.134.155

My friend Michelle is training for a June marathon and so I'm doing her training with her just to get myself in shape. But I'm also now starting a 20-week plan of my own targeting a Labor Day marathon, but I'm not completely committed to doing that race yet.
