Intended an easy run, did an unintentional progression run.

9:16 am, 70-75° F, 43% humidity, winds relatively calm, sunny.

I reclaimed the record for hottest run so far this year from yesterday by sleeping in a ton and then running later in the morning. I'm taking the day off from work today in order to clean my house, so when my alarm went off at 6:30 this morning, I turned it off and went back to sleep until almost 9:00. Then I felt a little guilty about taking the time to run instead of getting right to cleaning, but oh well.

I started out really slowly because that's what I do. I seem to need that one really slow mile before I can do anything.

My original plan was to run 4 miles, but with about 1 1/2 miles to go, I decided to run for 40 minutes instead. So I had to run for about another minute after I passed my house, and then turned around and walked home.

At one time during the run I ran onto the grass to go through a sprinkler. It was on the grassy area to the side of a main road, so it was a bigger sprinkler and got me in the back.

I'm glad someone got the memo about the sprinklers needing to be bigger!
