Easy run.

8:21 am, 67-72° F, 65% humidity, wind 2 NE, really sunny.

I didn't have anyone to run with today, and since I'm not really on a training plan now, I didn't have any motivation to get up and run. So I slept late and then finally dragged myself out the door. I spent the whole run arguing with myself about how far I should run. My target was 8 miles, but several times I contemplated turning off and coming home a shorter way. Don't laugh at me that I think that 72 is hot, but I was really uncomfortable on this run. I didn't have a lot of luck with sprinklers since it was later in the morning, but I did get one small set in the first mile and another small set in the last mile. However they didn't so much for me because I my legs dried off so quickly after I passed through them.

I've got to get busy now. We're having my daughter's birthday party this afternoon. Her birthday was last Sunday, but we're having the party today because today's the only day we could get the gym (she's having a gymnastic party). Unfortunately, a lot of people are out of town and there won't be many people there.

AP: 9:42. Splits: 10:17, 9:47, 9:33, 9:25, 9:39, 9:43, 9:40, 9:31.

Hope you're enjoying the party!

I argue with myself, too. Glad the runner in you won the argument. And 72 is plenty hot.

72 can be really uncomfortable in the sun and esp if there's any humidity. Sorry to hear you missed out on all the sprinklers today, but I'm glad you got to sleep in.

Happy Birthday (party) to your little girl. Hope the celebration was wonderful.

I see you stuck to it and ran the entire 8 miles, well done.

Hope your daughter had a good b-day.

Sticking out the plan is sometimes the hardest. Those are the times I'm glad I have the blog to come and report to! Nice work in the heat.
