Easy run.

6:45 am, 56-59° F, 65% humidity, winds calm, partly cloudy.

I didn't want to run when I got up this morning. I always feel a little out of sorts and like I don't want to run when I get up. I just have to force myself to get out the door and then I feel better. And I've got two races that I'm committed to (have paid money for) this summer, and so I've got to keep running.

I still don't have a training plan. I think I'll just work on base miles for a while and bag any formal speed work, except maybe hill sprints once a week, and just run faster if/when I feel like it

It was 6.06 today instead of just 6 because I ran for exactly one hour and that's how far I got in one hour.

You do a good job of getting out early against your bodies wishes, unlike me.

You're getting in some good mileage without a plan, and you seem to be enjoying yourself just fine. Base mileage will definitely keep you in shape for anything you want to do in the spring!

Hill sprints are a good workout! And your base mileage is great. What races are you doing?

I'm doing the Deseret News 10K in Utah on July 25, and the Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon here in Colorado on August 13.
