Easy run.

6:31 am, don't have weather info.

I got out and ran all by myself this morning. Carly hasn't wanted to run this week because her little one has started waking up during the night for a feeding again. If she can get him back to sleeping through the night, then she'll run with me.

I encountered plenty of sprinklers this morning and got pretty good and wet just before the end of the 3rd mile.

I took Monday off because I was still sore from the half marathon last Saturday (how pathetic is that?). I did the shred on Tuesday. And I finally ran a wee bit today. It took a couple of miles to get my legs moving.

AP: 10:10. Splits: 10:55, 10:12, 9:55, 9:42.

Good job getting out by yourself! Glad you were rewarded with sprinklers. Not pathetic at all to be sore after your race!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Wed, Aug 17, 2011 at 13:18:35 from 198.241.174.15

It's pathetic because I ran the race so slowly and a year ago if I had run that distance at that pace, I would have been absolutely fine afterwards.

Running alone isn't always bad- especially when you have sprinklers to keep you company.

It amazes me how tough we can be on ourselves. You ran a 1/2 marathon- you deserve a break: no excuses!!

I'm looking at all your running accomplishments, and I know there's a lot more that you've done that is listed. AND you inspire your fellow bloggers :-)

Good job getting your legs to run again after doing the Georgetown 1/2 on Saturday. Did you do anything fun, on the day you took off?

Hope your running buddy can join you again soon.

Nice job Carolyn! I'm with QP, sometimes the solitude of a morning run is just what the dr ordered. Plus, nothing wrong with taking a few days off - you more than earned it!

Any good runs through the sprinklers lately?

From The Quiet Pirate on Tue, Aug 23, 2011 at 12:11:11 from 152.26.59.252

Seriously... how are you doing CiC? I hope you weren't injured in any freak sprinkler-running related accidents.

Where oh where are you Carolyn?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Aug 23, 2011 at 15:27:20 from 198.241.174.15

I'm here. Thank you all for your concern.

I ran 4 miles on Saturday morning but haven't blogged it. I was really busy the rest of the day and played 3 softball games with women from church and then sat in the sun and watched my son play 3 softball games with the young men from church.

I was little sore on Monday, I guess from the softball playing, and didn't run. This morning I got up to see my boys off to seminary, then I was so tired I went back to bed until 7:30 and didn't run.

From Metcalf Running on Tue, Aug 23, 2011 at 15:31:30 from 207.225.192.66

Good to know that you are OK. I think softball is hard on you because you need to run as foast as you can to the base, then stop! All that fast twitch stuff is hard on me!

From The Quiet Pirate on Tue, Aug 23, 2011 at 16:07:56 from 152.26.59.252

I'm glad you're good! I wouldn't have to run in softball, because that would require me to hit the ball first.

Nice work getting on bases!

From bye-wing on Fri, Aug 26, 2011 at 11:18:36 from 110.169.137.249

Glad you are ok, just busy.

I like watching baseball much more than playing. Go Rockies, go!

From RAD on Fri, Aug 26, 2011 at 15:07:25 from 76.27.16.189

Hope things are still going well and you are just busy! Miss you!
