Well I ended my "time off" phase today. After taking the last four days off of running it was time to get back in the saddle. I actually finished those days more sore than if I had been running. My legs are starting to feel better from the lifting workout the other day with Steve O. but my left hamstring is crazy tight. I don't think it's tore but it sure hurts.

Today I took the run as easy as I could allow my self to. Just to ease back into running. I had a photo finish with the 7 min guy and I didn't know it at the time. The run felt great though I could have gone for hours but didn't want to over due anything. The hamstring is very tight but as long as I don't push the pace at all it doesn't seem to bother me much when I'm running. It actually feels better running than it does walking?

Now that I've had my break I'm ready to slide back into some real training. I'll try and catch 70-90 mpw for the rest of the wrestling season and get a couple weeks over 100 in before Del Sol along with some good speed stuff. Then after that I'll work into my 120 mpw.

Are you doing Painter's?

From Superfly on Sat, Jan 05, 2008 at 17:54:51

No. I'll be up at UVSC for a wrestling tournament that weekend.

I'll miss seeing you, but won't miss you in the age group!:)

Good deal. How is the season shaping up. Do you have any contenders?

From Superfly on Sun, Jan 06, 2008 at 22:07:37

Adam the season is going pretty good. We have a very solid team with 4-5 guys who could all be state champions. At 189 lbs I have a returning state champ who is a senior. We'll see how these guys chose to finish? Strong or weak...
