Secret street/ DC loop. Hernia/ Groin pain was only at around a 2 at the start. The best it's been. But increased in pain as the run went on... only to around a 3 but that's the first time it's gotten worse while running. However I'm not sure what will happen at race pace. Beautiful spring like morning. The last two days have been 68 and 69 degrees respectively. Today should be more of the same.

Sorry, I'm sure I missed it in a prior post.. What's up with the groin and hernia? That sucks. What's the strategy to get them better? Is surgery in the cards?

Oh this hernia started about a year ago in March. Nothing too nasty from the start to two weeks ago. Just some mild discomfort in the lower right ab's and groin. Really sore when I'm doing sit ups. But I did a bunch of heavy lifting two weeks ago for three days in a row working in my yard... and it really started to hurt bad. Last week it was almost crippling. This week it feels much better but still has some sharp pain. Sneezing and coughing about put me on the floor.

Anyways I'm not sure how bad it is. Or what I'll do to remedy the situation. Surgery will be my last and final resort. So just kind of hoping that with no heavy lifting or taxing the system it starts to feel better.
