Long run this morning. Started out on the Wednesday boys loop. No one else showed. For selfish reasons I was sad because I really needed the guys to pull me around the first lap. But in the end it was good because I had to stop twice for big potty breaks along the way and would have made them late/mad. Just tried to get through the first lap and save as much energy as possible for the second. Got home took a gu and shed a layer of cloths. Started back in the opposite direction and upped the effort. Ended up hitting the second lap well under 7:00 pace. Actually finished the entire run at a 7:09 avg. Felt pretty good- hope it continues.

Spring/summer marathon? Not sure if you heard but I will be leaving UT this summer. As part of my farewell I'm thinking about running UVM. I'm testing waters for doing a CC style team. Do you know anyone in your neck of the woods coming up, including maybe you?

Bummer your leaving. I hadn't heard. You should do UV for sure before leaving the Beehive state. A cc style team would be cool. I'm not really running- I've been really injured all winter and I'm just trying to get back into it. Right now my only plan is to do the half Ironman in May. But Dave or Logan might be interested in teaming up. I'll ask them next time we run.

Sorry to hear about the injury. I've really not been on the blog other than to do updates with everything going on at work. I'm leaving for Alabama. I'm going to join the faculty at UAB. It is a good department and I look forward to the challenge of being a professor but the change is tough on family and in general.

Well congrats! Should be a great upgrade for the family.
