Early moring run 8.2 miles. I did the industrial park loop backwards. So had to go up all those fast fun hills. Pretty slow and tierd this morning- I did not want to get up, nor go for a run. Stress fracture in foot is feeling better every day. That's a good sign with the miles the last couple day, but I'll still baby it for awhile.

Hope to get a good run in this afternoon and stay ahead of the count on my week.

9 miles this afternoon. Same run as this morning only I did it the other way and when I got up to water tank I ran up to the end of the paved road and then back down. Not an easy run. When I left my house the temp outside of my house was 100 and when I got back it was still 96. I guess it's that time of year.

I hope your right about continuing to train on that stress fracture. if it breaks completly, you will be out of running for more then two months. Be careful.

Have you see the elevation chart for the Teton Marathon. Let me know if you haven't. What type of long run are you doing to prepare for the marathon this weekend?

Sounds like if your still able to run that many miles that it might tendon inflammmation or bone strain. In my experience intensity more so than mileage is the biggest factor especially in recovery. Bill is right though.

Just make sure that you are around for Ragnar or ashman will have to take your spot! Seriosly though, be careful, I know too many guys that have ruined themselves for the season or for good by overdoing it. Don't be afraid to take it easy, esecially when you feel a little pain. You should read Meb Keflezighi's recovery story in the May 2007 Runner's World (p92).
