5 miles this morning up around the GS church. I just kept it slow and easy. I'm trying to just get a small run in every day to keep it in the system. This afternoon I'll be seeing April to have here dig into the hamstring.

I was reading Logan's blog from the other day and I think he hit the nail on the head. We are well over 4,000 miles for the year and that equals over training. I think I'll be just fine to finish out 2008 just like this with small runs everyday.

Do you want to do a 30 miler tomorrow:)

Are we planning on doing a run tomorrow morning? I have to be back by 10 am.

Let me know what you want to do. I really don't want to go too far. 10 ish or so. I moved April to tomorrow at 10:30 so I'll have to be done for that too.

Whatever you guys want to do and I'll see if I can make it... let me know.

Time off would do everyone some good, I finally did it and it did help. Although I inflammed my sciatic on the bike after I took the time off. Time off is one of the hardest things for runners to do, believe me I know. If you do take time off you need to be really aggressive with treating the hammy, I would suggest lots of scraping, it is really good at breaking up the adheasions that cause these chronic things. It will help you 10 times faster than just massage alone. I know Marcie knows how to do it and would probably show your wife how to do it and the tools are not expensive at all. I wish I could do more to help, the distance puts a damper on that. Hope things get better, it is a bugger to not be able to run the way you want. And remember the body does need a break from the intense summer training. I think that is why God gave use winter. Take it easy:) Oh ya it will probably take several treatments to get this thing under control, and as soon as you are use to the scraping you can do it daily. But at first I would only do it every 2-4 days.

Good plan.

Josse- Thanks that is some really good advice. I feel like I need to pay you for such info. It really would be nice to teach my wife how to do the scraping so I could get it done at home a few times a week and for cheap. We'll have to try and get that ball rolling.

I am just glad to share what I know. I want the same for everyone that I want for myself and would feel selfish if I didn't share. If my sciatic thing clears up maybe I will come down and do Painters. Do you have any reason you would be coming up this way?
