Good run this morning with Logan. We met up at the running store at 8 a.m and headed out. I thought I'd take him on a local favorite over to the T'bone trail and up past the water tank on turkey farm road, then over the trail to Winchester Hills and back down the marathon course to the store.

We took off and I could tell my sickness (head cold) was still a factor. As we ran and talked I was way short on breath, but the body felt fine. The first 7.5 miles are a pretty good climb, in fact you don't stop climbing until around mile 9 just above the Ledges Golf Course. By the time we finally got to the top I could tell that both of us were ready to be going downhill rather than up. We made our way over the golf course and hit the paved road down into town. Now we started to lay some tracks. Our five or so mile splits down to the store were:

1. 5:34

2. 5:19

3. 5:43

4. 5:32

5. 5:13- this was only a half mile time pace. However we started into the faster pace about a half mile before the actual fist mile of tempo. So it ended up being pretty close to 5 miles at temp type pace.

Not crazy fast but a pretty good workout. Those first 7-9 miles were not easy. We kept a pretty good pace on those as well. I was glad to get this kind of workout in. It's been a while. It was fun running with Logan and trying to recruit him into moving down here. It would be nice to have Logan down here to help push Dave, and I.

After we got to the store we did around .7 mile cool down around the parking lot.

Now that I'm done for the week I can go take a bunch of cold medication and spend the rest of the day on the couch watching two good football games. BYU vs. Utah and Kansas vs. Mizz- should be fun.

Nice run Clyde - Those miles up the Turkey Farm road are just grueling. Great splits coming down.

So were you able to get Logan to apply for a job?!

The Mizz vs. Kansas game wasn't what I expected. I thought Mizz. would win because of a offense in my opinion. But I thought it would be a back and forth game. Kansas tried to make it interesting in the end, but really it was over at the start of the 4 quarter.

Clyde nice tempo work at the end of the run, and you deserve the rest.

You can have Logan. If he moved down here I'm sure we would see him as much as we do now since his in-laws are up here. The man puts some miles on that car of his too.
