10.6 mile run early this morning. I went a little of everywhere this morning. Up into GS and down into Washington...then back up past Best Buy and around to the house. Time was a little short so I pushed it a little more than I wanted to for an easy run.

For some reason this morning all I could think about was Alf...Remember the T.V. show from the 80's. I used to love that show when I was a kid.

Let's see if anyone can top that for the most random/forgoten 80's T.V. show.

3.4 more miles on the treadmill tonight.

I'm a big Alf fan. Or was. I still collect Alf memorabilia. I have an Alf TV tray, a stuffed Alf doll, and little plastic Alf figurine, and an Alf t-shirt. Maybe I'll wear the t-shirt for St. George. The Hogan Family came on immediately after Alf on Monday nights. That wasn't a bad show either. I was in Cub Scouts one year, but quit after that because the scout meetings were Monday nights and I hated missing Alf. Serious.

Random 80's shows- I always like Different Strokes. And all the shows like McGyver, The A Team, and Airwolf.

From Logan on Thu, Sep 13, 2007 at 11:35:05

I loved the cartoons since I was a young pup! I am going to go with He-man over Pee-Wee's Playhouse. I didn't realize Pee-Wee was creepy until I got older. Alf was sweet though Clyde.

From Logan on Thu, Sep 13, 2007 at 11:35:34

or not over. oops.

Clyde is the CORONADA INN close to where you get picked up for the buses for St. George Marathon.

From Superfly on Thu, Sep 13, 2007 at 14:09:40

Kory I'm not sure where that place is... It should only be like a mile or so to the pick up place.

Paul- Wow I had no idea there was such a big Alf fan. I liked the show but haven't taken my love as far as you have.

Logan- The cartoons rocked. I still miss getting up early on Saturday morning to watch all the good ones.

From Andy on Thu, Sep 13, 2007 at 14:36:00

I agree with Jon about McGyver and The A Team and will add The Fall Guy. I still want a pick up truck like the one that Lee Majors drove on that show.

From Dustin on Thu, Sep 13, 2007 at 15:11:53

I never really got into Alf, but for some odd reason I really liked Fraggle Rock, it was on HBO for a short time.

Of course the A team, was a classic and my other two heroes were Bo and Luke Duke, oh wait I watched that show just for Daisy Duke.

Kory, the Coronada Inn is 559 E. St. George Blvd. The bus pickup is along the SW corner of 400 E and 200 S. It is close enough that I am planning on walking to the bus pick up. Probably about 1/2 mile at most. Did you end up getting a reservation with them, or are you going to stay with Logan's parents (or some other option)?

From wheakory on Thu, Sep 13, 2007 at 16:20:07

I emailed Logan that I would stay with his parents, but if Ted and Steve want to go in on a hotel I would do that. I don't want to leave them hanging.

From James on Fri, Sep 14, 2007 at 00:45:59

I have to go with Logan on He-man, that was my all-time favorite. I would throw in Magnum PI as one of my favorite as well. I found a He-man DVD in Walmart the other day for $5, it has the best 20 episodes. If my little boy doesn't like it I am sure I could get into it again.

From Superfly on Fri, Sep 14, 2007 at 08:46:51

Yeah right James your know you bought that DVD for you and not you little boy.

That's ok though. I'd buy a few of those old classics if I had the chance.

G.I. Joe is always a classic and gets over looked a lot. There is always a great thought at the end to learn from.

From Clay on Fri, Sep 14, 2007 at 13:20:02

You guys are young, I have one for you; Starsky & Hutch. I know thats not 80's but it is 70's classic T.V. which is my time BABY!

Oh, lets not forget the Jeffersons and Taxi, and that staple Charlie's Angels.

From Scott Zincone on Sat, Sep 15, 2007 at 00:01:10

If we are going back to the 70's, how about the Six Million Dollar Man...Steve Austin, astronaut, a man barely alive.....da na na na na

From Superfly on Sat, Sep 15, 2007 at 07:10:22

You guys and your 70's shows. Sorry I don't know much about all of those. I didn't know Starsky & Hutch was a T.V show until it came out as a movie a few years ago.

One 70's movie I can't stand is M.A.S.H. Or is that early 80's? It's worthless whenever it came out.
