Pretty good big workout this morning with Logan. No Dave we didn't ask ya because you've been sick... would have loved to have ya there though.

3.5 mile warm up over to the corner by Staheli farm.

Then we did 10x 2 min @ 5:05 pace with 2 min recovery between sets. We just ran our normal tempo loop but when we got to River Road we dropped back down the trial into B-hills then back to my house. On the tempo section the pace was really consistent at around a 5:05 avg for all 10 sets. Other than the first one that was 4:50 and then 6th that was up the hills in the industrial park and it was around 5:25. We hit a total of 6.3 miles during the tempo section and with the 2 min of recovery between each set we still had a 6:01 avg for that length because I just left the clock ticking the entire time.

I was pretty happy with the final results. After feeling like complete garbage two weeks ago during the marathon I was pumped to feel the legs willing and able to go out and run hard.

4.8 mile cool down back to my house. It was special because there was pretty sunrise... Logan wanted to hold hands but I was like sha right?

Sounds like a romantic run for both of you! But it is hard to hold hands at 5:05 pace!

Have a great weekend.

I just finished my blog entry and also commented on the sunrise moment. I had no idea you also put that in your entry! I had quite the chuckle. Good workout this morning.

Apparently I am glad I missed it!
