It's a BOY! 9lbs 4oz and all  kinds of hair and back fat. Myler Clyde Behunin (like a mile runner) was born at around 10:30 p.m Monday night.

I didn't run at all today but feel like I just finished a ultra. Mik'L got me up on Monday morning at 1:30 a.m as she was having contractions. We monitored it at home for 2 hours and then went in to the hospital at 3:30 a.m. They got her going from the git go and she had the epidural by around 5. Then we spent the day waiting for her to fully dialate. After she was ready we pushed for hours on a couple occasions and it was finally made clear this boy wasn't coming out the old fashion way. He was too big and mommy's insides were too small. So at around 10:30 p.m she went into surgery to have a C-section and we finally had our little boy. We really wanted to  have him the old fashion way for a number of reasons but it was physically impossible as determined by two doc's.

But he's healthy and strong so far and cuter than a bugs ear. We feel so blessed right now to finally be parents after almost 8 years of marriage!

Congrats to both of you! Hope all is well with Mik'L and the baby. Like Jon said be sure to help Mik'L recover, c-section recovery I'm sure takes longer, but sounds like the doctors had to make a hard decision.

We are very excited for you guys, please let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

Congratulations buddy! Tell MiK'L way to go. Hope the recovery goes well and tell us when they get home and things have chilled a little and we'll come over.

Thanks everyone. This is the coolest thing ever and he is such a good little guy. We are just on cloud nine right now. Other than I'm already sick of the hospital. Nurses, Doc's, food, smells and I really want to go home.

From jtshad on Tue, Mar 10, 2009 at 18:44:30 from 204.134.132.225

Take advantage of the opportunity to sleep now when you have it!

Clyde, Myler missed sharing a birthday with Chuck Norris by just under an hour and a half, but I'm sure he'll still grow up to be one strong guy.
