Woke up early and did 6x800s today at the track. This is my first fast workout since my acilles has been hurting about 2 weeks ago. Achilles took a little bit to warm up and felt better after the first two intervals. Then I didn't feel it at all during the workout-and now after it hurts. (I'm very annoyed!!) Anyway-I did my 800s with a 400 jog in between each (approx 3 minutes rest) My times were 3:02, 2:58, 3:00, 3:00, 2:57, 2:55. I felt pretty good-besides my achilles-don't know what to do about training because the marathon is a little less than two months and now is the time to do my major training. I feel like it is only slightly injured right now-but I don't want it to turn into a major injury and I still want to run the marathon. Anyone with ideas?? |
