Ran a 7 mile tough tempo today at the track. Did it at the track because I wanted to run a consistent pace the whole time-minus all the hills. My goal was to run every mile at 7:10 pace or under. My splits were 7:05, 7:10, 7:03, 7:03, 7:02, 7:03, 6:44. Finished the whole run in 49:12. (average pace was 7:02)
Felt good today and was happy that I was able to average a 7:02 pace. (my right achilles is a little sore now though-it has been bugging me for about a week) I want to keep training hard-but I don't want it to lead to a major injury.. help! |
