Ran track and cross country for Utah State. Ran a 4:40 in the 1500. 17:55 in the 5000 m.

Run a couple of half and full marathons. Would love to run a 2:45 marathon.

Marathon olympic trials in the next 4 years

Russian champion tries Crocs, commits to racing a marathon in them

Nikolay Chavkin in the video below did 3x1000, first two in Adidas carbon-fiber models, the last one in Crocs. Surprised by the result (2:52, 2:52, 2:50) with the fastest interval done in Crocs, he committed to racing a marathon in Crocs if the video gets 42K likes and 195 comments (for 42 km 195 m, the marathon distance). Nikolay's current marathon PR is 2:14:00. The video was created by a Russian sporting goods store chain. Ran on the mill. Did 9x400m hills on 6.0 incline with easy 400 jog in between. After a mile warm up did the first 2 at 8.5 mph, the next two at 8.6 mph, the next two at 8.7, the next two at 8.8 then did the last one at 9.0 mph.

Did a tough workout on the mill today. Did a set of 1 mile, 5 min, 4 min, 3 min, 2 min 1 min. at increasingly faster paces with each one. (had the same amt of rest in between. My mile time was 6:27, 5 min at 6:15 pace, 4min at 6:04 pace, 3 min at 5:56 pace, 2 min at 5:50 pace and 1 min at 5:43 pace. Was pretty tired after the workout. (warmed up and cooled down)

Did 9 on the mill today. first two miles were pretty slow-warming up. The next 3 were at 7:30 pace, miles 6 & 7 were 7:20 pace and miles 8 & 9 were 7:12 pace.
