Ran outside today (perfect temperature-but verrryy windy!!) My goal was to do a long run of 11 miles with 6 being pretty easy and finishing it off with 5 at tough tempo pace. Did a loop outside and ran the first 6 miles at 7:21 pace. (felt pretty comfortable) These are the splits for my 5 "fast" miles. 7:06 (major uphill) 6:30 (downhill) then I ran the last 2.5 at the track for a super fast finish. miles 9, 10 and 11 were 6:27, 6:35 and 6:20. (average pace for the 5 fast miles was 6:35) I was pretty tired by the last mile-but I felt strong and relaxed too-felt good about this one-especially considering the wind) |
