Did a 7 mile tough tempo run at the track today. My goal was to run around 6:30 pace (the pace I would like to run for the race) My splits were 6:30, 6:26, 6:24, 6:25, 6:26, 6:23, 5:59! (6:22 avg) Woohoo! I was glad to end on a fast note and I felt great and relaxed the whole time. I know my splits will be a little slower than these for the half considering the track is flat and the course isn't completely flat-but I was happy with the workout. |
