Wanted to see how my leg was today....Did a 1.5 mile warm up....Legs were super stiff with weird aches and pains..After 1.5 stopped and stretched then did a 2 mile pick up tempo-splits were 6:45 and 6:45. Started feeling my calf about 1.75 into my 2 miles. Walked for a little bit and stretched then did a mile at 7:00 pace. Then walked then did 2 miles home at 6:35 pace for both miles. Leg did start feeling better toward the end of run-but I was wiped out physically. I feel that I have definitely lost some fitness due to not being able to train very well bc of this injury....It is so frustrating...Still undecided about whether to do my marathon or not...If I do it I will have to throw my goal time out the window and do it for fun and hope my leg holds up...but I really want to run |
